FIFA 17 Set for Kick off in 30 Days

Every year, soccer fans wait for one awesome gaming franchise to return, and it’s none other than EA Sports FIFA. With only a month to go, FIFA 17 is getting ready for kick-off and fans will go wild. This time, the game is truly looking very promising. When we say promising, we think that EA Sports have upped the ante big time especially when you compare the features in last year’s FIFA 16.

You can tell we’re excited because of some exciting new features that are making a debut on the franchise. The first feature is known as “The Journey” featureing Alex Hunter who is set to be the ultimate soccer superstar of the Barclays Premier League. Interact with managers such as Jose Mourinho, Jurgen Klopp, and Pep Guardiola. It’s the stuff that legends are made of and you’re about to embark on “The Journey.”

We got Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund as the cover star of FIFA 17 and with that comes in new features such as the Active Intelligence System. He’s one of the four football ambassadors including Eden Hazard of Chelsea, Anthony Martial of Manchester United, and James Rodriguez of Real Madrid.

Every year, the changes to the FIFA series seem subtle, but this time we can see changes brought in by the Frostbite engine that takes over from the Ignite engine that powered FIFA 14, 15 and 16. In order to get the best out of FIFA 17, its best to have current-gen consoles Xbox One and PS4. You’ll still get to play the fan-favorite Ultimate Team which keeps getting better each year.

Now, you may be thinking, with Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 out early next month, would it be worth waiting for FIFA 17. Konami’s focus has been on realism and that has been helped by the Fox Engine that powered Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The soccer games go head to head next month, but we think as always FIFA will edge PES 2017 due to being the complete package. Konami has now made agreements with the likes of Liverpool FC and FC Barcelona for image rights and licensing in PES, so you’ll get a few clubs with proper kits and names, although with FIFA 17 it’s a given.

We do think the success of FIFA 17 largely depends on how well the new features play out as well as The Journey story mode. If those two ingredients are successful, we have a winner and no need for extra time. Otherwise, EA Sports will need to go back to the tunnel and make sure it can avoid a penalty shootout!
